Fancy trying something different?
Well Bodmin Jail are hosting a Special Cornish Murder and Execution evening on 23rd February 2013 at 7pm.
The evening will follow the story of the Cornish murder, in 1909, of Emily Tredrea of St Erth. Her lover, miner William Hampton, was the last person to be hanged at Bodmin Jail in 1909. During the evening you will be given details of the Bodmin Assize Court and how they came to convict him. You will also be shown how he was hanged, not for the faint hearted but definitely an alternative type of entertainment! The evening, including a fish and chip supper, will cost £15 per person. For more details call Chris Batters on 01208 269991.
If this is something that wets your appetite why not combine it with a break away at Darrynane cottages. We are offering a 2 night break from 22nd February at one of Darrynane’s superb new cottages for £99 for two, £150 for four or £180 for 6 people. First come first serve.
If you don’t fancy the Jail but a weekend away sounds fun then you can still call us on 01208 850885 or email: enquiries@darrynane.co.uk. Visit our website www.darrynane.co.uk and see how lovely it is here!
