Darrynane is beautiful at any time of the year, but after a heavy shower the Waterfall is at its most impressive as it roars over the granite boulders and surges down to the rocks below splashing all in sight. The squirrels scurry here and there in the woods foraging for their winter food. The jays and wild ducks are also frequent winter visitors. But Cornwall is special too. No long traffic queues; empty sea washed beaches to enjoy, and many attractions open but without the crowds. The warmth of the Spring sun brings out the best in natural colour. And contrary to popular belief it is possible to have wonderful weather. There are many events that take place during the off season months too.
